In case you don't know: My ISP is bellsouth.net fast access. IFiTL, is basically DSL over fiber ( in their words ) and consists of an RJ45 drop. No other hardware has been installed in the house. I am using the chapter in the manual for the basis, and also what applies from the good ol' Pedantic PPP Primer for the internal network portion. While making the proper adjustments to the /etc/defaults/rc.conf file, I noticed the four lines pertaining to PPPoE. I can't seem to find any information on this either in the manual, on the web, or by doing a search of the FreeBSD pages. Can someone give some insight as to what these entries do, how to make them work, etc... I'm by far, no unix guru, or pro, I am learning and dont quite understand everything. I have tried, to use the manual section just to get the system connected, without any reference to the internal LAN. There doesn't seem to be a man page entry for this. Although pppoe is briefly covered in the ppp man page. Thank you Thomas Herman To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
