Rob,
All of the standard firewall packages run on FreeBSD. I advise that you get
a copy of the book Building Internet Firewalls from O'Reilly and associates.
It discusses all of the theory needed as well as what and where to get
software from.

A firewall product is worse than useless if you do not know what you are
doing. It lulls you into a false sense of security. You need to know what
your filters are doing and how to verify your operation. You also need to
monitor very closely what is hapening on your network. Security is an
holistic thing, not piecemeal.
