Well I don't known what you mean by «high rate», so I make a compraison
between my desktop and my laptop. 

On the laptop (where the load is always high) I got 
	~500- 650 total Interrupts with ~490-500 from hpet0 uhci

On my desktop (load is ~0) I got
	~340- 360 total Interrupts with 320-350 from hpet0 20
