I guess not, but that's because I spend almost all of my time sitting at
the computer, programming, something they have no jurisdiction over. :-)

I participated in only one arrest in my whole 6 years as a DS (I was a
volunteer, working about once a week, mostly at community fairs). The kid
we arrested had been in a fight, and was bleeding all over. My partner did
the actual arrest, while I was backing him up. I was glad too. He got the
kid's blood all over his arms, shirt, pants, handcuffs, etc. And he was not
wearing gloves! If the kid had AIDS......
