Wanted: FreeBSD sysadmin/small network expert to help set up our Madison, WI location. If I can't get anyone else to do it, I have to go to Madison in the winter. If you live in or near Madison, WI, US, and are interested in a week, maybe two, of work, I can assure you that it will be well worth your time. Our Madison office will have approx. six people in it by the end of the year, but they don't yet have a proper network, only a DSL line to a hub. Required tasks for setup of this office include: - Installation and troubleshooting of a preconfigured firewall/ router/DHCP/named/etc box - Configuration and troubleshooting of an IPSec tunnel between the Madison office and the SF office. I will be in the SF office doing the same on my end. - Setup of Samba through the IPSec tunnel. - Configuration of all the Windows clients to use proper DHCP and mailserver settings; installation of mail clients, possible cleanup of Windows boxes. - Setup of several brand-new Windows 2000 boxes. - Setup of several network printers. - Anything else that the people in that office need to have done. You must be a US citizen or have a valid US work permit.
