I have to admit that I am a bit lost with the referenced PR: - I do not know where to download final version of your patch. I strongly suppose it is https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=151513 Will it give a file Mk/bsd.port.mk somewhere in the ports tree? But where? - I do not know how and against which to apply it. - Do you know, if it will be officially incorporated into FreeBSD - as a ports addition? - I do not know how to start a specific dependency check - let's say against www/firefox - with your patch. - And finally: If it turns out that www/firefox depends on security/openssl: In this case www/firefox doesn't honor the WITH_OPENSSL_BASE=yes switch in /etc/make.conf on my machine which is a www/firefox bug - isn't it? Hope you can give a brief summary. Peter
