The task of making XF86Setup idiot proof clearly falls into the category of not interesting to hackers. So far there are two possible courses: 1. byte the bullet with respect to the existing status quo 2. fund a project to address the issue However there is the real possibility that the XFree86 project can indeed tackle the issue.
