It kind of worked on Linux. It was very much dependent on even the
desktop environment as well. I'm still in the midst of porting the

Unfortunately forgot to run xrandr itself, but I did get a chance last
night for a warm-plug. On a resume from suspend, the console briefly
displayed on both screens before X kicked back in and shut the dock
DisplayPort monitor off. I currently run MATE, and the following appears
in Xorg.log when I use MATE's detect monitors button in their display
settings:

Not sure what the kernel identifies the dock monitor as out of DP-3,
DP-4 or DP-5, but X identifies the monitor as DP-2-1.

Of course, zapping X and running startx again results in all displays
