I didn't use freebsd for some time because somewhere around 9.x things started getting a little bit too weird for my daily work. Last week I came across some old notebook at work and was completely surprised I could install and run FreeBSD 11.1 nearly "out of the box". Especially Gnome-3 runs as smoothly as one can expect and looks quite nice. So someone seems to have invested a lot of work and I would like to make use of it.
