Could this be related to 4096 byte/512 frag file systems? I didn't get this with 2.0.5R -- just with stable. It seems more often with the MS-DOS filesystem mounted. (I put it in the kernel, then removed it and the problem still occurs). The system's a 486DX33 with 1542CF and 8mb of memory.
