From a Linux mremap() man page:

 void *mremap(void *old_address, size_t old_size, size_t new_size,
	      unsigned long flags);

And from linux_mremap() in the linuxulator (linux_misc.c):

        if (args->new_len > args->old_len) {
                p->p_retval[0] = 0;
                return ENOMEM;
        }

To me it looks like extending a mmapped region with mremap() isn't supported.
