The new regulations that covered pilot licensing are now scheduled to come into force on 1 September 2014. Among the reforms now postponed are the introduction of the Recreational Pilot Licence and category type ratings, the deletion of Student Pilot Licences and the removal of ATO delegations. "The primary reason for the changes is the need to give the aviation industry more time to prepare for the commencement of the new regulations," a CASA media release said. The event will commemorate the start of World War I and will take place at 4.30 pm on Good Friday, 18 April, the day before the show proper starts. At least six WWI replicas are scheduled for the display. A grant from the Lotteries Commission WWI Commemoration Fund has enabled organisers to increase the scale of the free public event, which is being planned as part of the Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow.. The Super Legend is a Lycoming O-233-powered version of the Legend Cub, featuring flaps and an enlarged tail. The 115-hp engine gives the aircraft the same power-to-weight ratio of the 150-hp Piper Super Cub. It boasts a higher power-to-weight ratio than similar sport aircraft. cabin is wider than traditional Cubs, and clamshell doors are standard on both sides of the fuselage.
