I bought my Connor TapeStore 4000 (SCSI internal) serveral years ago for $350.00. It uses QIC-3040w tapes. I haven't had any problems with it. Before I had this tape drive, I was using a QIC 80 floppy tape. What a pain....... Switch to the SCSI tape if you can. Somewhere on www.freebsd.org is information about different tape devices people are using. I think you can find it in the supported hardware doc. Tom > > Do you know anything about the TR-3 or 4??
