We are currently evaluating different Unix based systems and FreeBSD is one of them. Unfortunately I've tried to load your 4.0 system on my home computer and I can't get X Windows to work properly, I have the 3.3.6 version and also a Rage 128 ATI card. Now my problem is not the graphics they come up fine it seems to be something in the fonts I can't see any characters on my screen when I'm in X windows, but like I said I can see all the graphics fine. All I get is a bunch of up and down lines instead of words and when I type in the terminal windows the cursor moves but I can't see the letters I'm typing. I know the letters are there because when I type a command it executes it. Can you please help me with this problem or direct me to someone who can I've been trying to get help for weeks. I can't evaluate your system if I can't get it to work properly. I have tried reloading all the fonts and that doesn't work, also if I move the windows around some of the letters do appear. If you have any answer or help I would greatly appreciate it. Will you please respond to me one way or another. Thanks for your help. David Naimoli United Online, Inc.
