I was trying to see if I could make de0 drop packets

I ran 3 "ping -f"s between different pairs of
nodes on a shared 10Mbit coax ethernet

xperfmon++ reported ~1500 packets per second, ~700 collisions per
     second.

     netstat -d -I didn't report a single drop

when I used kgdb to watch the send queue, I did not ever see any
     accumulation of data

all this under 2.1.0 (p5-133, smc etherpower combo)

My question, is it possible to load down the de0 send queue at all,
and if so, under what conditions?
