I burned about 100 FreeBSD 4.3 ISO images using that one. This leaves two possiblities: - Got got a bunch of bad CD-Rs - Your CD drive is dirty, causing read errors while dd-ing the source ISO. The latter possibility would only happen with bogus, cheap CD-ROM drives, since automatic read error detection is usually pretty reliable. OTOH, there are "copy-protected" CDs which will produce errors when read in CD-ROM drives.
