I noticed that the FreeBSD-stable kernel probes the PCI bus before the ISA bus. This causes it to fail to boot on my pentium server. When I change the order in autoconf.c then it works fine. Formerly, in 2.1, the kernel would probe the ISA bus before the PCI bus. Was this change made intentionally? Will it be permanent? - Fred Gilham gilham@csl.sri.com
