OK.  I give up.  The documentation seems to be pretty clear
that in order to su to root one must be a member of group 0.
I am.  But, when I try to su, I get the response:

       su: you are not in the correct group to su root.

Can anyone please tell me what I'm missing?  Thanks for any
help.
