I'd like to know specifically whether it is possible to query the condition of the RAID via the operating system, and what the process for rebuilding an array is when a replacement drive is installed? Promise distributes a Windows app with the hardware which handles all of this.. if there is no failure detection or live rebuild feature available in FreeBSD, it would not be very useful for some people.
