You get mbmon & *not* xmbmon*, hence the counterintuitive assessment:


[root@kabini1, /etc, 10:33:50am] 943 % which mbmon
/usr/local/bin/mbmon
[root@kabini1, /etc, 10:33:56am] 944 % which xmbmon
xmbmon: Command not found.
[root@kabini1, /etc, 10:33:58am] 945 % uname -a
FreeBSD kabini1.local 9.3-RELEASE-p13 FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE-p13 #0: Tue 
Apr  7 03:01:12 UTC 2015
