Hello all, I am trying to install 3.3R (from the CD-ROM with the Complete FreeBSD) onto an old Gateway 486 with an IDE HD. I am having problems with fdisk. When I try to create slices, fdisk reports that the disk begins with offset -63 instead of 0. If I try to create a slice with the suggested maximum size, the created slice also begins at offset -63. In addition, I have an old Texel SCSI cdrom driven by a Pro Audio Spectrum card. The "cd" device does not show up in the visual config screen. Do I need to set it up manually, and if so, how? Let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you in advance. Andy To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
