At least I'm not aware of this.

Do you only start skype, or is more work involved (like logging in, or
doing a call, and if it involves a call, is it enough to call
"echo123")?

Are there still open file descriptors after quitting skype?

Can you please "portupgrade -fo emulators/linux_base-fc3 linux_base"
and try again (fc3 is the upcomming new default linux base)?

If the behavior is still the same after this change, please send a PR
for this.
