I have an IBM DCAS-34330W hanging at the onboard Adaptec AIC-7880 Ultra SCSI controller of the Gigabyte GA-686DLX. With Linux 2.1.126 SMP I get the same timeouts, but they don't clear themselves, I have to reboot very hardly.
