I think the OP knows that already. The question is: will LibreOffice be available on FreeBSD? The answer is "almost certainly, yes: just as soon as the LibreOffice project releases anything worth porting." This doesn't mean that OpenOffice.org will be dropped from ports. So long as it continues to be available without restrictive licensing or redistribution terms -- even if it does turn into pay-ware -- then it should still be available. Will LibreOffice become the official FreeBSD Office application? No, because FreeBSD doesn't have an *official* office application. It may well become the recommended or the most popular or the most fashionable office application in the fullness of time, but that's entirely down to the free choice of users.
