There has been discussion of kernel threading for FreeBSD, but I don't know if there is any effort other than the "port" of linux threads at http://lt.tar.com . Someone has tried to run a precompiled Linux Wine binary under FreeBSD Linux emulation. I believe that the result was that additional functions (modify_ldt, at least) need to be added to the Linux emulator. -- Richard Seamman, Jr. email: dick@tar.com 5182 N.
