Andrey, what's happening? The discussion on -i18n ended with the understanding, that there is no need to add the "to the letter" conformance to the koi8-r standard -- because the said conformance _never existed before_, and is not needed for the vast majority of users, who just want the web-pages marked with "koi8-r" to display properly. Instead it was decided, that, by default koi8-u or (preferably) koi8-o fonts will be installed into the lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic with aliases for koi8-r (and koi8-u). Those needing the strict conformance will be able to use a port-knob or add a separate port to remove those aliases and install the fully compliant fonts. We were almost there, but now you are reverting us back to the situation where there is still no strict koi8-r conformance, but no koi8-u (much less koi8-o) support either. Finally, as I mentioned before, your claim to be the "i18n Tzar" hardly holds too much liquid, since you did not mind the incomplete Cronyx fonts populating the default lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic for many years and did not bother to disspell XFree86 project's notion, that "Cyrillic" and "Russian" are the same things. So, please, come down and act as a mortal. Thank you, -mi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
