I'm using softupdates for a while now and keep getting messages like these: May 14 22:10:41 myhakas /kernel: setup_allocindir_phase2: need bmap, blk -2061 May 14 22:10:43 myhakas /kernel: setup_allocindir_phase2: need bmap, blk -12 May 14 22:11:35 myhakas /kernel: setup_allocindir_phase2: need bmap, blk -12 Sorry about wrapping. These messages appear while doing make world (with -j8 or above) and/or under massive disk i/o. The "blk -12" message appears a lot more than others. BTW there are no panics anymore and I can do what I want, thanks. My machine is an ordinary Pentium 166 UP with eide disks.
