Hello, the latest XFree86 version 3.3.6 may support your on-board video : check it at www.xfree86.org. Your internal modem is a "WinModem" and won't be supported under FreeBSD (there was a thread about the port of the Lucent winmodem software to Linux, but yours comes from Conexant, and you're out of luck) TfH "Mohit Aron" <mohit_aron@hotmail.com> on 22/02/2000 18:09:29 Please respond to aron@cs.rice.edu To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG cc: (bcc: Thierry HERBELOT/FR/ALCATEL) Subject: question regarding setting up Internal modem and Intel 810 Chipset Hi, I have a 433MHz Celeron with the Intel 810 motherboard with an onboard videocard. Does anyone know if XFree86 supports this card ? At least the version distributed with FreeBSD-3.2 doesn't appear to do so. I also have an internal PCI modem attached. I'd appreciate some help in setting it up. Windows 98 shows its name as: Conexant SoftK56 Data, Fax, Speakerphone PCI Modem Can someone please tell me how I should edit my kernel configuration in order to setup this modem for dialing from within FreeBSD (I'll be using PPP). Thanks, - Mohit ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
