McGovern" Sender: owner-freebsd-qa@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG At this point, I think Jordan is in a mad rush to get 3.4 stabilized for shipping. Since we're 3 days behind right now, I'm trying to track the daily snaps as much as possible to keep up with the most recent code so we know if we still have a problem or not. On certain days when the build doesn't seem to make it (like today), I'll spend more time with the OS itself (rather than just sysinstall), and try to make sure nothing [major] broke since the last time I could play with it. Given that the OS itself has done fairly well, and sysinstall seems to have a slew of new bugs that occured during the release cycle, I'm really trying to concentrate there.... So, to answer your question, test what you can. Some of us should probably concentrate on sysinstall issues, and others should continue 'deep testing', where they actually make it through the install, and look at the OS. I'm hoping to finally get my second test machine running today, so I can do both. -Brian > > > > > Report on 3.3-19991215-STABLE > > > > > > 0.
