Are you running current? or using my drm update patch? If the answer is yes, this sounds like the hang that I am getting on my 965gm. For me, it only happens if I restart X. I'm still looking for the root cause, but my latest theory is that it is related to the vblank-rework. I know that their is a problem with during/after vt switch, which is either a bug in the intel driver or drm. I'm working with the intel developers to figure out where is the best place to fix it. If you are using the latest drm, I'll need some more details to be sure that the issue you are seeing is the same. If you are not, then it is something else... robert. >=20 > Anyone please assist with this problem? =20 > (To run gnome, i have to startx -which starts with with fvwm -then run a=20 > gnome-session from a aterm console. this is burning up my limited=20 > resources and of course all windows open in the fvwm style which is not=20 > ideal. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-x11@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-x11 > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-x11-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" --=-CJntAinMVJQuXF1hCV/y Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEABECAAYFAki4peAACgkQM4TrQ4qfROPHDwCgiCmIq1nI2i6Jq/bzFu8iDtdY bZsAn2NIUvnfn5QRSY7A5WdDfGTFDy6H =05V0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-CJntAinMVJQuXF1hCV/y--
