Hi again,

I did what you said, uname -a gives :
FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE #0: Thu Jun 5 02:55:42 GMT 2003
root@wv1u.btc.adaptec.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386

My problem is about the usb port, I have a usb hub on which I have
connected my mouse
and my CD writer (Archos Mini CDRW 4*4*24) but whan I boot with FreeBSD
5.1, the boot
stop for a while (maybe one minute) on the usb detection and write this
message :

kernel: ohci0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> mem
0xfedde000-0xfeddefff irq 9 at device 19.0 on pci0
kernel: usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support
kernel: usb0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> on ohci0
kernel: usb0: USB revision 1.0
kernel: uhub0: AcerLabs OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1
kernel: uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered
kernel: uhub0: device problem, disabling port 1

As I have to rebuild the kernel to have my sound card working, I would
like to configure the mouse
and the CDRW too but I am not sure if it's possible.
Thanks for any advices.
Christophe.

and dmesg gives :
