Hmm... ORBit depends on glib. When you use gtk1.2.1, you use glib1.2.1
and then you must
use the latest ORBit 0.4.3. The latest GNOME uses the latest ORBit.

Please try the latest ORBit port for the test. 
( It may be a little bit old 0.4.2, but better than 0.4.0 )
