Well, last I tried RELENG_4 on the above 5x86 it tried to do busmaster = on the IDE interface but timed out and fell back to polled mode. That = was better than the first time I tried 4.0-R and it blew up. Later read = there was a conflict between ISA ed0 and the new ata code. Splurged on = the purchase of a DEC 21140 based 10/100 PCI card for $12 and cured = that problem. If you say it might work now (its a UMC chipset) then = I'll give it a shot. -- David Kelly N4HHE, dkelly@hiwaay.net =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D The human mind ordinarily operates at only ten percent of its capacity -- the rest is overhead for the operating system.
