Looking at my /etc/make.conf, I see it has the following:

# added by use.perl 2013-08-03 12:47:28
PERL_VERSION=5.14.4

Yet the installed version is 5.16

$pkg info | grep perl
perl5.16-5.16.3_18

It appears this was added by one of the build scripts;
does it serve any purpose / cause problems if out of sync with the actual
installed version?
