As maintainer, you get to choose that.  All I did was look for where the
version restriction was stated in the sources, and update everywhere.  And
then test that the port built OK.[*]

Since you're happy that only the port Makefile needs to be updated, I'll om=
it
patching the other files.

`git grep devel/py-pathspec` -- I could see that the dependency line in this
port conflicted with the latest version number of py-pathspec.

[*] Although only for the default python-3.9.  I think I can see how to fix
that.  Expect some more PRs quite soon.
