I think Satoshi's almost got it right. :) As a "minimum distfile version this port makefile has a reasonable chance of working with", it is potentially useful. One could want to build an older version if the ported version is known buggy in some way. <shrug> -- tIM...HOEk OPTIMIZATION: the process of using many one-letter variables names hoping that the resultant code will run faster.
