To: hackers@freebsd.org (FreeBSD Hackers) Date: Fri, 29 Dec 1995 19:42:16 +0100 (MET) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL23] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-hackers@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk I seem to recall that there was some discussion about a port to Alpha a while back, but I can't find it now. A friend of mine just rang up and offered me an Alpha machine if I were prepared to port some software (of my choice) to it. There's just the possibility that more than one machine is available, but I can't promise that at this stage. So, my question: - what are the plans? - would the availability of hardware make these plans more favourable towards a port? Greg
