The postgresql port installs all everything under /usr/local/pgsql and this directory is of owner and group pgsql. When the port is in the final stages of installation, it does ldconfig /usr/local/pgsql/lib, but it cannot because the directory is not owned by root. I assume it's for security reasons that the port does not get installed in the usual places (/usr/local/bin, /usr/local/lib, etc). So how does one get around this ldconfig problem? Has no one encountered it before? Joseph To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
