Greetings, I am getting ready to add cable to my network at work. I currently use DSL, but for redundancy and load balancing I'd like to add a second internet connection. I currently use FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE with 2 NICS in it: ed0 for DSL, ed2 for LAN. The DSL is static IP To add Cable I imagine I need to add a third card and compile it into the kernel (no big deal, this part I understand), but: 1) how do I add it for bandwidth use? 2) How do I load balance between the 2? 3) Is it possible to have BSD look at both connections to see which one will provide faster access? 4) How do I make my mailserver just use the DSL and not look at the cable. 5) Can BSD automatically change to the other connection if one is down or must I make the change myself? This is all very confusing to me. I have researched the mailing list and handbook, but I can find no references on how to set it up. Any help would be appreciated.
