This patch doesn't use readlibe or libedit, the command history is
implemented in the patch.

The PR 87352 is being suspended for two reasons - the author says the
patch isn't completed, and Ruslan asks to make this functionality
optional via compile setting. He is interested in keeping ngctl
small and not depending on extra libraries for embedded environments.
