I disabled wd1 in the bios to be able to boot from sd0, and changed my kernel to config kernel root on sd0 swap on wd0 and sd0 #dumps on wd0 ^^^was wd1 here controller wdc0 at isa? port "IO_WD1" bio irq 14 vector wdintr disk wd0 at wdc0 drive 0 #controller wdc1 at isa? port "IO_WD2" bio irq 15 vector wdintr #disk wd1 at wdc1 drive 0 ^^^^removed wdc1 and wd1 If I let him boot, it tries 1:sd(1,a)/kernel and fails at `change root to sd1a'. Entering 1:sd(0,a)/kernel is ok. How can I do this in the kernel config file? ------ ------ Philippe Charnier charnier@lirmm.fr (smtp) charnier@xp11.frmug.org (uucp) ``a PC not running FreeBSD is like a venusian with no tentacles'' ------------------------------------------------------------------------
