Hi All
I just installed (yep, a newbie question) FreeBSD 2.1.5 (walnut grove
cd-rom) and got it to run fine. Now, when I try to run Xwindows, I get the
reply "command not found". I've rebooted numerous times, and tried all of
the commands to start X I could find (startx, xinit, xdm ...) NOTHING! This
is logged in as root, as me (user name = jack), nothing seems to work. The
install seems to have gone fine, so ne1 got any ideas? I'm running a vlb
DX-4 120 (AMD), ide hd, ide cd-rom, a #9 gxe64 pro w/ 4mb vram, 16 mb ram,
an NE2000 compatible NIC (arrrrgh), a HP Pavilion 14" monitor, and a
Microsoft Serial mouse. Hell, while I'm at it, anyone no why it would take
almost 2 minutes to get a login prompt from another machine on my network
(Win95 box) to telnet in? Whew, lot's of questions!
Later;
