What I want to do is to devote one of my virtual consoles to graphics. That is, I'd like for a program (presumably not on that virtual console) to be able to display just plain graphics there. Any hints on how to do this? I *don't* want to run a windowing system -- I have no need for it and they're all monstrous resource hogs.
