The problem isn't with burncd, though; it's with the cd9660 file system. Actually, it's not really a *problem* with the cd9660 file system, which is operating as expected since it handles an ISO 9660 file system just fine, but the multisession stuff is an extension, and reading a multisession CD isn't supported . . . But I'm no expert; I could be totally wrong about the lack of support. "man mount_cd9660", for example, doesn't discuss the issue at all. > thanks > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "The Babbler" <bts@babbleon.org> > To: <alex14fr@yahoo.fr> > Sent: Monday, February 05, 2001 2:50 PM > Subject: Re: ATAPI burners, burncd & multisession > > > Not that I've done it, but per the man page, you just do > > > > burncd -s 4 data burn.iso > > burncd -s 4 data2 burn.iso > > > > I don't believe that the kernel knows how to mount multi-session CDs > > that aren't fixated; they don't really contain an ISO9660 file system > > yet. > > That doesn't really have anything to with how you create the, though. > > > > > > In article <95maf2$r3t$1@FreeBSD.csie.NCTU.edu.tw>, > > Alexandre <alex14fr@yahoo.fr> wrote: > > |hello everybody, > > | > > |I use Freebsd 4.2 release and an IDE cd reader/writer > > |(from TEAC). > > | > > |I would like to know i can create multi-session CDs. > > |I tried for writing the 1st session: > > | > > |# burncd -s 4 -e data burn.iso > > | > > |but when i want to mount the cd (mount /dev/acd0c) i > > |get a kernel panic, with disks syncing and reboot.... > > | > > |please tell me how to write the first session and the > > |next ? > > | > > | > > |Thanks > > |Alexandre > > | > > > > -- > > "Brian, the man from babble-on" bts@babbleon.org > > Brian T.
