  I also have this problem. I can't use vmware2 in 5-current any more :-<

and ldconfig in /usr/sbin/linux was core dumped.

cherry# /compat/linux/sbin/ldconfig 
Segmentation fault(core dumped)
pid 313 (ldconfig), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)
