I'm having great problems getting Linux to recognize this setup, and
am wondering if FreeBSD will work:

	Thinkpad 755CX
	Dock I with IBM SCSI CD-ROM (double-speed)
	   Future Domain 850? hardware
           no hardware BIOS

Anyone who has tried to run Linux on this setup will understand the
grief I've gone through.

Will FreeBSD recognize this CD-ROM on this hardware?  With minimal or
no kernal modification?
