If I use the reboot command the system goes down OK then says that it's starting to reboot the screen goes black and it just sits there (hung). If I use the shutdown command it shut's down OK and sits at the press any key to reboot screen but, when I press a key it has the same effect as the reboot (screen goes black and hangs). If I power off the box then power it up again it boots up fine. Which is kind of a work around if I'm infront of the box but I would like to be able to reboot it remotely. This happened from the boot floppy after the install and after I booted from the hard drive with the generic kernel. I took a guess and disabled all the auto power management stuff in the bios (keyboard power on, etc...) but have had no luck. Any ideas??? I'm not a subscriber of this list currently so please cc replies to me cdavis@icn.state.ia.us thanks, Chad To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
