I don't see wanting to do simultaneous makes using a *stock* source
tree as any lack of procedural discipline.  I was very disappointed in
the BSD source tree mechanism when I saw how badly they'd muffed it
with the symlinks and this is just my attempt to FIX it.

Actually, if you want to look at the .mk files again you'll find that
I've greatly *simplified* things in many major respects!
