Has anybody ever had similar problems ? Is 3.1 too > old ? Could it have something to do with the fact that I am incapable to set up my X to have more than 256 colors ? (I have no problems in Windoze with this monitor, but I dont know why, it seems not to work as it should in X, or I am to stupid to do the proper tests, with the different monitor types offered etc. My graphics card is a S3 which should be ok. I dont know the monitor type, it is some years old but has some electronics instead of potentiometers for screensize, brightness etc...)
