After adding the option, or FEATURE(blah, blah), to the .mc file and creating the .cf file, i didn't see any difference between the older .cf file and the newly created .cf file. So I was wondering if the the original(from install) .cf file already has the reference and what/where is it in the .mc? The only other reference(to local-host-names) in the default freebsd.mc file, which looks to be the .mc for the default sendmail.cf, is the "define(`confCW_FILE', -o /etc/mail/local-host-names')" which I understand as being the file pointer. If the default install sendmail.cf is suffice to use the local-host-names files, where is it getting it's reference, or what part of what .mc file is telling it to. Unless I missed it, which is highly possible, the README's and the FAQ's all point to do what I wrote in the first paragraph. --- Peter Leftwich wrote: > On Mon, 15 Apr 2002, Dave McCammon wrote: > > Is the FEATURE('use_cw_file') in the .mc file > needed to use the local-hosts-names file for host > aliases with the default sendmail.cf(installed with > 4.5 stable as of yesterday)?
